Our Gage R&R Training Course is a 1 day course designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge to conduct effective attribute r & r / variable r & r studies, and to properly interpret the results. An effective measurement system analysis (MSA Training) can provide valuable information on gage performance, employee performance, and part interaction to the gage. Participants will learn how to avoid costly mistakes in performing a gage study as well as the impact of an improperly conducted study. This 1 day event will cover the following curriculum.

  • Sample part selection

  • Gage condition and calibration status

  • Selecting operators

  • Planning the MSA study and sample size

  • Performing Variable gage studies

  • Performing Attribute gage studies

  • Sample branding and part rotation

  • Documenting the results

  • Interpreting results

  • Central limit theorem applied to gage R&R

  • Intervals for R&R

  • Action plans for failures

  • Minimizing the cost of a gage study

  • Minimizing the resources needed to perform a gage study

  • Providing MSA training to your associates

Who should attend MSA Training: Quality Managers, Gage Technicians, Quality Technicians, Supplier Quality Engineers, Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, Quality Supervisors, Quality Auditors, Gage Designers, and others who may be responsible for designing, ordering, or maintaining gages within your facility.

Each participant will receive both a variable r & r and attribute r & r gage study template in Excel format on disk for use in their facility, a complete study guide, and a certificate of completion for the course. To enhance the learning experience each participant will have an opportunity to perform and trouble shoot gage studies from hands on learning activities. This MSA Training course provides participants with a complete understanding of interpreting the MSA results, along with the tools necessary to improve the studies.
