Six Sigma Efforts
Six Sigma Training Classes
Include: Green Belt Training - Black Belt Training - Six Sigma Champion
Training - Master Black Belt Training - Executive Overview Training
“Six Sigma” is a statistical term that equates to 3.4 defects per one
million opportunities. Most organizations operate around the three sigma
level which is equivalent to roughly 67,000 defects per million
opportunities. The goal of Six Sigma is to identify and understand the
causes for not achieving better performance, then to take specific data
driven actions in order to provide continuous improvement of processes,
products, and services. The Six Sigma methodology has a proven track record
with companies such as General Electric, Motorola, Allied Signal, Dupont,
Ford Motor Company, and many more. Six Sigma a business decision more so
than a program. In order to assure company can achieve it's objectives with
Six Sigma, ISP Software provides training targeted to the size of your
company, and the needs of your organization. We believe any company can

Six Sigma Green Belt
Training:
The Green Belt Training
Course is structured similar to the Black Belt Training Course with emphasis
on the 5 phase project management steps of: Define, Measure, Analyze,
Improve, and Control. The Green Belt Training Course stresses the
appropriate tool usage without going in-depth into the statistic. During
this course, participants will learn the various tools and techniques used
throughout the five-phase DMAIC approach to Six Sigma. Our Green Belt
Training program may be structured to best fit the needs of your
organization. Typically Green Belt Training is scheduled for 2 sessions of 3
days each. A break of 4 weeks is scheduled between the two events to allow
the participants time to use the skills gained during the first week of
training by applying them to a project. Green Belt Training Courses may also
be scheduled for 5 consecutive days.
Define - Participants
will gain knowledge on the appropriate method of defining the customer,
identifying the critical measurements and defect definition, setting project
objectives, developing project time lines, documenting the problem statement
or reason to pursue the project, process mapping, establishing cost savings,
team management, and project documentation.
Measure - Participants
will gain knowledge in identifying process/product inputs and outputs,
prioritizing the inputs, the appropriate tools to use to measure for the
baseline, identifying the critical to customer measurements, process
variation, and measurement systems analysis.
Analyze - Participants
will gain knowledge in analyzing the data collected during the measure
phase. They will then be able to quantify the opportunity for improvement
and refine the problem statement and project objectives, through the
elimination of potential inputs.
Improve - Participants
will gain knowledge in how to apply statistical tools to identify the best
solution to achieve the project objectives based eliminating or reducing the
variation in the process. During the improve Green Belts will develop plans
to eliminate the root cause of the customer defects and establish a plan for
implementation.
Control - Participants
will gain knowledge to execute the plan by determining the best approach to
achieve the targets. Participants will learn the difference between hard
controls and soft controls and how to evaluate which controls will be the
most valuable.
Black Belt Training -
Participants will learn every step of successfully identifying and
implementing a Six Sigma Project. This Six Sigma Black Belt Training Course
covers all the tools listed above for Green Belts with the addition of
in-depth analysis of the statistical tools, project management, project
identification, identifying road blocks, financial project analysis, and
process optimization. This course is taught in four sessions of 1 week each
at a pace consistent with the completion of a project. Through the use of
practical examples, simulations, and lecture the participants will obtain
the skills necessary to be successful within their organization. Progress on
the participants projects will be evaluated at the beginning of each
training session.
